Well this isn't surprising as Junckner revealed the EU has contact with Extra Terrestrials. And as we all know the first contact with ETs was in Birmingham and therefore the first impression of human civilisations to interstellar travellers are the chummy brummies, hence aliens when speaking English , have a slight Birmingham / west Midlands drawl.
