Xenophic Brexit ?

Hi All,

As we all 'know' Brexit is Xenophobic and racist,  which is why the' xenophobes' in the Conservative  Brexit government has just given the right to 2,900,000 people from Hong Kong to be able to  live in the UK.

Oh...

The empire strikes back... over tea

Hi all,

For those of you who haven't been aware of this story , it begins with a lady called "Michelle from North Carolina", who in a recent tik tok video explained how to make English tea, by using a ghastly microwave! This has set up a   social media  storm and minor  diplomatic incident.

Now our Ambassador to the US has responded on how to make a cup of tea properly ,  LOL :

Swing Low sweet Chariot

Hi All,

Apparently this hymn has to be banned because it offends. Even though it began as a hymn of black slaves in America, the context is from our own Hebrew Bible,  referring to Elijah and was incorporated into British culture via the sport of Rugby .

A republic with an emperor?

Hi All,

Some of my American friends have gripes over me calling some of my science fiction governments republics when they are led by an emperor.

This is understandable, because the current definition of a republic is simply a state that has no hereditary chain of succession. Thus the USA is a republic , so the vice president takes over if a president dies and not the first daughter or son.

However way back in history , we have the Romans. Historians like to divide Roman history into its republic and empire days. If you  have done enough pub quizzes  you might be able to say the first Roman Emperor was Augustus.

Yet Octavian , as was his actual name, politically claimed that he was merely restoring the Roman Republic and not abolishing it. Therefore throughout the rest of those imperial days, the leadership of Rome was sometimes inherited, in times of political stability , whereas others the army or Senate decided who was going to rule. This was true of the Eastern Roman " Byzantine"  half as well, with official, but not in fact non hereditary principle in place (sometimes the emperors would appoint their sons as co rulers to help a hereditary succession ) .

When one of the Popes made Charlemagne "Emperor of the Romans" , to piss off and power grab from the actual Romans who had a female Emperor (Byzantine was considered to be the Roman Empire and was called such, Byzantine was not a contemporary usage for the state) creating the Holy Roman Empire , the Imperial crown was not passed on a hereditary basis, but chosen by electors of this Confederate Empire.

monochrome Angle

Hi All,

79AD

The church of the angles (England) has today been rocked by another scandal in the wake of the Africae lives matters protest . Apparently the diocese of saint woke in Angle told John of Africae, a trainee vicar, that he was not the right person for the woke diocese because it was "monochrome Angle", despite the official church doctrine that in their faith it doesn't matter whether you are a gentile, slave , Greek or Jew as they are all "one in Christ".  They also suggested a more experienced incumbent. Even though that parish was led by apostle  Paul of Tarsus himself.

Paul of Tarsus , who wrote this famous passage and most of the Christian bible  was unable for comment... in Rome to protest his ticket from tent making violations. The rest of us though, "what hypocrisy". Especially from the Tory hating church of angles.  The angles of course don't like Paul :  he's a sexist and a homophobe.

Oh wait got it wrong, it's today:

You all have to leftists or else

Hi All,

You can only be an ethnic minority in politics, provided it's the correct politics . And that politics would be left wing .

It used to be said in Glasgow that they didn't bother to count votes, but  to weigh them instead, such was the strength of the Labour party in Scotland , until the SNP changed that. This was also true of their working class strongholds in the north of England, until the last election wherein they went blue. This left the Labour party nothing more than a party for metropolitan Londoners and middle class public sector employees in the other major cities, along with sections of ethnic minorities.

Their coalition and all major parties are coalitions has been reduced to a rump. However conservatives have been gaining ground among ethnic minority voters for decades, as I've mused before the conservatives will probably provide us with the first black or Asian PM, whether male or female. Labour have never had a female or minority leader, despite their preferences for quotas in the selection of candidates that's been going on for over twenty years and their general outlook that anyone who isn't left is a bigot.

This is why the push back by the left  against ethnic minority conservative supporters is so hostile and vehement :  what else have they got if they can't stir up grievances and call everything racists? We can see this with the disgusting treatment of Home Secretary Priti Patel.

Now we have similar treatment toward  Munira Mirza, whose been tasked with chairing a commission  on the recent black lives matters protest. We in England like committees such as this, because they often recommend stuff that isn't knee jerk (destroying statues or banning stuff) that simply does not resolve any issues ( e.g. if you are a poor black , tell me how are statute removals going to advance you in society and help you out of poverty ?).

Mirza should be a good choice for the left as well as the right,  but the left as  far as their own intersectional philosophical sociology is concerned

1. Ethnic minorty
2. Muslim
3. Female
4.  Mixed race marriage
5. Went to a state school and college,  from a poor northern town and ended up with a degree from Oxford University.

The left however don't like he as she isn't one of them:  she's a conservative, libertarian and a brexit supporter, who defended people who were critical of the burqua , suggested minorities shouldn't have a  victim culture, is sceptical of institutional racism and of course is now head of the policy unit at no 10.

But if she'd been a Labour supporter then she'd have been beyond criticism. But she's conservative so it's ok for the Twitter mob and left wingers to go on their usual rampage, wherein some on the left become borderline racists themselves, without even understanding they are. This is exactly what occurred with us in the Jewish community and the left in recent years. So convinced that they're the only non racist part of politics they can't comprehend it within themselves. It's rather sad.

Year zero

Hi All,

This concept has its origins in the French revolution, but is mostly known as a key part of the policy of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia- a particularly vicious socialist regime which(in true socialist fashion)-  killed millions of her own people and ended up in a conflict with Vietnam , which overthrew this wicked regime.

Year zero was an ideological decree that said that anything before the revolution of year 1, was wicked ,evil and therefore banned. In this rebooting of society anyone violating this or even trying to preserve Cambodian culture and history was killed. To Pol Pot and his regime Cambodia had to be turned into a nation of classless peasant farmers: intellectualism and the middle-class were out.

This springs to mind with the current matter of iconoclastic behaviour toward statues of history, history itself and tv shows-  some having been made less than twenty years ago- which are off the streaming channels as they've been self censored as offensive or racist.

It started out with a statue of a slave trader and then quickly developed into anyone the far left hated, to the point where we aren't sure if saying Dracula should be banned (racist toward Romanians) or that the pyramids should be demolished was a joke or not.

This desire to go from a slave trader to Ghandi to Churchill, to even Abraham Lincoln , to the founder of the boy scouts , reminds me of this concept of year zero.

If you have it in your head that  Britain is an institutionally racist country with an empire building, slave trading  and therefore "evil" past, add a bit of socialist magic and it all makes sense. You have to get rid of all the statues of the past, all the history and all literature. Everything and I mean everything. That's year zero. That's the evil past that must be got rid of and destroyed as it is this past which makes us such a wicked xenophobic racist country today. Of course demonizing historical figures also helps. In this topsy turvy world leftists can say with a straight face Churchill was like Hitler, but worse.

When the revolution begins it will be year one. That's why socialists don't actually care about poverty or racial matters. It's something to attach themselves to as a parasite would. It's a convenient bandwagon to hijack. It's the revolution and getting to day one that counts for them .

Leftist ideology is like the Borg

Hi all,

Q : You can't outrun them, you can't destroy them. If you damage them, the essence of what they are remains. They regenerate and keep coming . Eventually you will weaken. Your reserves will be gone. They are relentless.

So speaks the Q . In this excellent star trek scene, the first encounter with the Borg- a collective hive race of  utilitarian  Cyborgs.  But was he really tailing about the left?

This is why I will NEVER EVER vote Labour

Hi All,

Disgusting race baiting from the left to Priti Patel by the left

And of course non white conservatives like me are coconuts and should have "coconut curries".

But it's okay . It's the left and not the right.  So it gets a free pass.

Hypocritical guardian

Hi All,

As British readers know the "guardian" newspaper is the mouthpiece for the left, be it liberal, soft or far . They've been revealing in the current chaos and cultural wars of the past week , wherein British heroes like Drake, Churchill, Peel , Rhodes and others are being demonized in a rewriting of history and historical context.

Thankfully Guido has this interesting post about the historical guardian

The Estates -General

Hi All,

"Hi Hannah, does your Byzantine Empire have a Congress and political parties ?"
The answer to this question is yes on both accounts . Except the "congress" is called the Estates -General. It is tricameral , notwithstanding the concept of "The Emperor in Estates General " concept. The Byzantine hail their their "mother of all Estates General "  as a key example that they are the "arsenal of Imperial Democracy". It is a body that's been around for at 15 billion years.

1). The Consiglio Rada or Imperial Council

There are 60 states of the Realm. Each state elects 2 councillors, regardless of size or population. Thus Venus with a population of 3 billion elects the same as the state and  Duchy of the Sombrero galaxy (population 980,000 quadrillion) .

Membership : 120
Electorate : all adult citizens

2). The Harrenhaus or House of Lords

Consisting of the 50,123 hereditary Lord's Temporal and the 5,689 most senior  clerics of the established religion . Only the Emperor can appoint new members.

Membership : 55,812

Electorate :  none. Although Her Imperial Majesty the Emperor can appoint new Peers whenever she chooses.

3). The Duma

The Emperor appoints a Ministry /government on the understanding they have "the confidence"  of the Duma. It is an  wholly elective body , divided into constituencies, but with Byzantine features,   as follows:

1). Open  - one for everyone 1 million people and universal adult suffrage.

2) State - 2 billion members for each state, franchise is universal adult suffrage.

These two represent 40% of total membership.

The other sixty percent are divided into "boroughs" as follows

3).Freehold
4).Stadtholder
5). Pyramids and ziggurats
6)  . Pots and Pans
7). Scott, Lott and Poll tax

Membership of the Duma: 3 Centillion
Electorate : 7 different franchises , with different sizes  and varied rights to vote.

I shall of course explain 3- 7 at a later date.

In the meantime here's a bit of opera , before it gets banned as racist colonialist imperialist

Give up debating far left loons

Hi All,

I've spent most of my day banging my head against a far left brick wall, in which these middle class white,  non Jewish privileged students rail against Churchill and equate him as bigoted as or worse than Hitler.

I give up and think :

Pigeons speak out

Hi All,

We must also consider animal rights :

The far left crusade

Hi All,

The far left are as we know insane and in the past week they've gone from criticising the government for beginning to end the lockdown , to openly flouting it with mass protests over the death of a person in a foreign country and which has nothing to do with Britain.

Well that was the start as the protests quickly turned into a typical mob. Getting rid of a statue in Bristol , while the police looked on and desecrating Churchill's statue and the Chenotaph in London. Then yesterday they were protesting against the Cecil Rhodes statute at Oxford University. There is now a vow by virtue signalling London mayor Khan to get rid of all "offensive" statue, followed by numerous other labour councils. There's even a far left website with a list of statues they want rid of.

But it doesn't just stop there. Little Britain- a comedy classic-  has been banned for the offensive audacity to have a man black up as a woman (the comedian is actually Jewish and gay and there's other characters who take the Mick out of racism).

Also we find that it's not just statues of slave traders, but politician figures such as Robert Peel (created the police and gave Britain free trade) , Gladstone (a liberal giant of the nineteen century) and Churchill that are now in the firing line.  I bet Ghandi will be next.

One wonders if they want to dig up their graves and try their remains for colonialism , racism etc. One wonders if books will be burned because of the slightest hint of  the perceived  racism or colonialism. I thought we'd got rid of that with inquisitors heretical texts no longer being banned.

But the thing is , even if you agree that anyone the far left disagree with in a twisting of history that would make baron von munchausen blush,  exactly of what help, use and or utility will it be to those the far left claim to be doing this for?

Well it's easier to  get rid of statues than it is to actually deal with poverty or injustice.  Besides which Marxists are a symbiotic need to be permanently on the lookout for things to take over and agitate on. Nothing like a bandwagon to help the revolution.

Priti Patel tells them like it is

Hi All,

I think it's always funny that the far left say the mainstream right is racist, yet this current government has plenty of  ethnic minorities and also   women , especially in the cabinet.  The conservative party has produced two female prime ministers, a Jewish prime minister and another Jewish party leader of the opposition.  I bet that the conservative party will produce the first black or Indian prime minister and maybe even a female black or Indian prime minister.

Home Secretary Priti Patel, sets the record straight on racism:

Indeed I think this exchange summarises the left mentality. To the left you are seen as a part of a category and not as a human being. Thus LBGTQ or BAME. Within these boxes you are excepted to conform to a particular pattern, especially in politics.

When that doesn't happen you are of you are a gay or lesbian or an Asian or black who is conservative then you become a" uncle Tom" figure  or get called a coconut or bounty bar (people have said this about I) .  The left forgets that if a conservative said these things then their Twitter mob would be out for them.

If you are white and conservative then the left has this assumption that you are of a privileged cast and an automatic racist. It's like the left either deliberately think that not being racist, homophobic or antisemitic or for that matter wanting  progress of society (as in improvement e.g. medical, technological, standards of living etc) is only the preview of the left .

Thus conservative is what the left is not so if only the left is not racist, then a conservative must be a racist. If only the left are true progressives, then conservatives are reactionary zealots.  If you are sceptical over man mad climate change you are a deniers of truth (ironically a religious not a scientific term) .

This is the warped thinking of the far left and why they don't get why I could personally enjoy science fiction and to them all science fiction is liberal left, even though entertaining or good science fiction is one which challenges without preaching, something which star wars, star trek and Dr Who , all fully taken over by woke have now become.

What happens when the police disappear

Hi All,

I found this quote from Wikipedia whilst I was trying to find examples of what would happen if we abolished the police, like radical left anarchists want . The quote is in context of a 16 hour police strike in Montreal in 1969 and is from Steven Pinker, a Canadian scientist and author:

"As a young teenager in proudly peaceable Canada during the romantic 1960s, I was a true believer in Bakunin's anarchism. I laughed off my parents' argument that if the government ever laid down its arms all hell would break loose. Our competing predictions were put to the test at 8:00 a.m. on October 7, 1969, when the Montreal police went on strike. By 11:20 am, the first bank was robbed. By noon, most of the downtown stores were closed because of looting. Within a few more hours, taxi drivers burned down the garage of a limousine service that competed with them for airport customers, a rooftop sniper killed a provincial police officer, rioters broke into several hotels and restaurants, and a doctor slew a burglar in his suburban home. By the end of the day, six banks had been robbed, a hundred shops had been looted, twelve fires had been set, forty carloads of storefront glass had been broken, and three million dollars in property damage had been inflicted, before city authorities had to call in the army and, of course, the Mounties to restore order. This decisive empirical test left my politics in tatters (and offered a foretaste of life as a scientist)."

Abolish the police !(?)

Hi All,

No I'm not joking , this is one of the demands of the rioting looters  and far left anarchists in America. Well they would wouldn't they as they wouldn't be punished for violence and theft and the left just don't think their ideology through.

The problems of this are:

1). You force citizens to become vigilantes i.e. take the law into their own hands. This is what happens in a failed state.

2). You force citizens into groups they wouldn't normally support as they look to any one but the state for protection. Rather like drug cartels or the mafia.  Alternately you could have a Lebanese situation where there are private gangs or matilda based on sectarianism or in America I guess people would coalesce around racial identification. This is the end of the rule of law and again the sign of a failed state.

3). If one and two don't happen then the citizenry is cowed by criminals and or citizens are free to flout the law themselves as no one is there to enforce it.

4). Every class and race suffer from crime. Abolishing the thin blue line isn't going to change that and will of course make it worse.

5). It's an anarchist political ideology gone mad where the left seemingly want to take us into a mad max dystopia type world. There are no laws, except what I say by my brute force with which I can bully people and get away with it as there's no one to call 999. That's what happens when there's no law enforcement.

Question

Hi All,

True story (as they say) 😯😝🍺😉

My personal thought is to entirely dislike riots, pillaging and vandalism as Jews have often been on the receiving end of thuggery in the past. But it's okay to break the covid  lockdown to protest and riot  as the guardian and the BBC says so. Even though' bame people ' are suffering more deaths due to covid- so it's utterly mad to protest if you understand that!

I think there's a leap from wanting justice and moral outrage over the death of a person by the cops, to using that as either a justification for violence or an extreme left wing political agenda from the usual suspects who just want anything to help usher in a socialist revolution. Interestingly in the guardian's case, one angle is that it's all the fault of the British  and everyone's "institutionally racist"  or translation anyone who disagrees with me because I don't use people in the revolutionary game as socialistic pawns is a racist.

Sunday 7 June 2020

So there at Byzantium , does the story beings.

Hi All,

One of the great perplexing things of astronomy are the voids of the universe, where millions of galaxies should be there's just nothing, not even singularities [black holes] , just literally a void of nothingness like someone got a fountain pen and splotted the black ink on the paper of the multiverse.

Except for those of us in the know [wink, wink] who know that these voids are the cities of the galaxy. Bootes void is the extra terrestrial equivalent of New York or maybe London : Ecumenopolis wonders for the galactic elites and do gooding leftists,  beyond the type 3 on the Kardashev scale. They are the urbane metropolitan areas, whereas the galaxies are the rural backwaters, not unlike North Yorkshire or Tennessee. or maybe the country estates of the aristocracy  of the cosmic order , not unlike Versailles or Kyoto.

Only the five great powers of the multiverse can build such wonders, but the greatest of these is the oldest civilisation of the multiverse , whose polity is know as the Holy Byzantine Empire and their Ecumenopolis, Byzantium , 500 million light years in diameter and home to millions of Googolplex of people.

Btw , Byzantine isn't their real names and actually it is used in the adjective, or at least that's how humans describe this greatest of civilisations e.g.

of an ornate artistic and architectural style .. The art is typified by religious wall paintings and icons and the architecture of doomed structures.

(of a system or situation) excessively complicated, and typically involving a great deal of administrative detail.

Of  by deviousness or underhand procedures

Of great ritualistic and legal importance

So there at Byzantium ,  does the  story beings.
