Hi All,
The far left are as we know insane and in the past week they've gone from criticising the government for beginning to end the lockdown , to openly flouting it with mass protests over the death of a person in a foreign country and which has nothing to do with Britain.
Well that was the start as the protests quickly turned into a typical mob. Getting rid of a statue in Bristol , while the police looked on and desecrating Churchill's statue and the Chenotaph in London. Then yesterday they were protesting against the Cecil Rhodes statute at Oxford University. There is now a vow by virtue signalling London mayor Khan to get rid of all "offensive" statue, followed by numerous other labour councils. There's even a far left website with a list of statues they want rid of.
But it doesn't just stop there. Little Britain- a comedy classic- has been banned for the offensive audacity to have a man black up as a woman (the comedian is actually Jewish and gay and there's other characters who take the Mick out of racism).
Also we find that it's not just statues of slave traders, but politician figures such as Robert Peel (created the police and gave Britain free trade) , Gladstone (a liberal giant of the nineteen century) and Churchill that are now in the firing line. I bet Ghandi will be next.
One wonders if they want to dig up their graves and try their remains for colonialism , racism etc. One wonders if books will be burned because of the slightest hint of the perceived racism or colonialism. I thought we'd got rid of that with inquisitors heretical texts no longer being banned.
But the thing is , even if you agree that anyone the far left disagree with in a twisting of history that would make baron von munchausen blush, exactly of what help, use and or utility will it be to those the far left claim to be doing this for?
Well it's easier to get rid of statues than it is to actually deal with poverty or injustice. Besides which Marxists are a symbiotic need to be permanently on the lookout for things to take over and agitate on. Nothing like a bandwagon to help the revolution.
