International women's day

Hi All,

Someone said to me that only the Labour party represented  the blue collar or working class, women and minorities properly.

So here goes . In the last 40 years

50% of Tory Prime Ministers havd been women.

Of 7  Conservative Party leaders:

2  have been women

1 was Orthodox Jewish 

1 was Roman Catholic 

1 was Methodist 

1 was the daughter of a shop keeper

1 the son of a circus performer

1 was from Yorkshire

In the same period :

0% of Labour leaders have been women.

0% from an ethnic  or religious  minority 

0%  from a  working class background,but solidly middle-class.
